Recorded during a five week residency in Latvia, the film is an exploration of a foreign landscape returned to a ‘fairytale winter of childhood’ not seen for over a decade and its seasonal release towards spring. The visual nature of the film stems from the use of a tapestry of hand processing and DIY printing techniques, embracing the resulting dissonance between image and sound to form a response to the space encountered within and to the landscape.
